Cannabis Bacon You Say?! Gimmie the Recipe! Leave a comment

Just when you thought bacon couldn’t be nice enough already, now there is cannabis-infused bacon?! How can you not?! Bacon already goes with so many different things from pasta to sandwiches, to accompany pancakes, you name it. With the added addition of some weed, you have yourself rather a tasty dish!

Unlike some other cannabis edible recipes this one is super easy and quick to make, meaning you can cook yourself some cannabis bacon in no time! You don’t need to spend hours infusing your cannabis with this recipe! Also, as bacon is nice and fatty, it absorbs all the weed goodness so well!

What you will need

  • Bacon (duh!)
  • Ground cannabis

Decarboxylation.

First you will need to prepare the cannabis by a method of Decarboxylation. This especially activate the cannabis, otherwise you will not feel the desired effects. Do not skip this step!

To activate the THC or CBD in the cannabis flower, it first needs to go through a process called decarboxylation (otherwise known as decarbing). Using the cannabis flowers without decarbing beforehand will not have the same effect.

Decarboxylation is fairly straightforward and can be achieved by putting the cannabis flowers on a baking sheet in the oven (process explained in instructions).

Instructions

  1. To do this preheat the oven to 107 degrees Celsius.
  2. Spread out the freshly ground cannabis onto an oven tray with baking paper.
  3. Cook for 45 minutes.
  4. Whilst the cannabis is decarbing, get another baking tray and spread out the bacon strips.
  5. When the cannabis is cooked, take it out and sprinkle it over the bacon, however much you desire.
  6. Cook the bacon for 10 minutes, then flip and sprinkle cannabis on the other side, and then cook the bacon for another 10 minutes.
  7. It’s as simple as that!

What to do with the leftover fat?

As fatty foods absorb the cannabinoids in weed really well, all that leftover fat from the bacon tray will have some kind of weed induced goodness in it!

You can save this fat and add it to other dishes, like using the oil for a stir fry, to use in cannabutter or to make fried bread with! Don’t let it go to waste! As bacon is so fatty it absorbs the THC in cannabis really well, making this a great edible to try!
