University of Queensland researchers studied recent recreational cannabis users to understand how much cannabis goes into a typical joint. They involved 31 participants who had used cannabis in the last 30 days. These participants were asked to roll joints, spliffs, or pack cones as they usually do, but with oregano instead of cannabis.
The results showed significant differences in the amount of material used in all three methods: joints ranged from 0.1 to 1.25 grams, spliffs from 0.12 to 1.21 grams, and cones from 0.03 to 0.41 grams. Interestingly, daily cannabis users put three times more oregano into their joints as a substitute for cannabis.
