Ecofibre has reported a potential financial loss of up to A$2 million due to damage sustained during the transit of hemp fiber planting seed intended for the US market. Initially, the seed’s germination rates surpassed the industry benchmark of 85% for the 132 tonnes exported from Australia. However, the firm has since experienced low crop germination rates in the subsequent stages.
