Farmers are conducting trials with hemp in livestock feed with the anticipation of enhancing animal health and meat quality. Leave a comment

A farm located on WA’s south coast is currently carrying out a trial where cattle and marron are being fed hemp-based pellets. The objective of this trial is to enhance the health of the animals as well as the quality of their meat.

“In the animal, we’re hoping to see decreased cholesterol but also for humans, and in human consumption, we’re looking to produce a meat product that is healthier than anything else on the shelf.”
