The Netherlands expands its experiment with legal cannabis cultivation Leave a comment

The Netherlands is expanding its experiment with legal cannabis production, allowing coffee shops in eight additional cities to source regulated cannabis from licensed growers. Starting Monday, up to 80 coffee shops across 10 Dutch cities can obtain cannabis from three licensed suppliers participating in the country’s “wietexperiment,” according to DutchNews.

For decades, the Netherlands has been a popular destination for cannabis enthusiasts worldwide, thanks to its renowned marijuana coffee shops, which have thrived due to lenient enforcement and tolerant attitudes.
